  1. This is the best film sack podcast out there. Well it’s the only film sack podcast out there so you can’t go wrong. I love this show, the humour and Tongue in cheek look at each film is just awesome. Banter, wit and pure class is my tag line for this podcast.

  2. This show makes me look forward to Fridays even more. TGIF is back!…kinda

I absolutely love Film Sack with every fiber in my body without reservations, exceptions, or hesitations. My work is sort of important, and my wife, well she can wait… but I will be at the beck and call for Film Sack always and forever.

…and uhh, if you see my wife… don’t tell her I said this, K THNX BYE!

    (i love you honey)

  7. CW

So I couldn’t stop thinking about this throughout the Young Einstein episode.

I first learned of Filmsack while listening to The Instance. Thanks for giving me a reason to watch all of these movies again. Now for the real reason I am submitting this post: watch Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead. Judging your penchant for scintillating cinema, I feel that any of the four of you that have not seen it will be grateful for my suggestion.

  9. VooDooKilla

THERES A HOLE IN THE ROOF!!!!

  10. You guys honestly make me laugh so hard! You guys need to review Barbarella at some point. For Pete’s sake there is a shag carpet spaceship in this movie!!!! It’s a must watch for a Film Sack episode! :)

  11. My favorite FrogPants podcast of all. Scott is a genius!

If Thrall was still the Warchief sitting on the throne, he should totally have tear away pants for when upstarts try and take him down.

RE:Film Sack #60: The one about Future Sport; Scott; The review about this awful movie was spot on and accurate. However, Vanessa “Labia” Williams? REALLY?!! The way I remember, as a young kid, she posed nude years before the Miss America Contest. The slime-ball who took the photos sold them to Playboy and Penthouse after she was crowned Miss America. She gave them back their crown and never looked back.

Contrary to the comments made during this episode, she has done quality movie and TV projects (e.g., “Soul Food,” and adaptation of “A Christmas Carol”). she also has had a successful Broadway career with outings like “Kiss of the Spider Woman” (which I happened to see – fantastic show!), and “Carmen Jones.” Not to mention a list of popular recordings: oh yeah, she can sing real good too!

She should now be in her late 40′s and she’s still real easy on the eyes. She is a multi-talented woman, and doesn’t deserve to be called Vanessa “Labia” Williams just because of one transgression when she was young. As far as I know, she has never done anything close to a nude scene since.

Love all your podcast, and keep up the good work, but “Labia” Williams? Come on, you gotta admit; that’s not even very funny or clever.

Your impressive body of work has caused me to expect more.

    Thanks,

    Travis

PS No, I don’t know, or have any affiliation with Ms. Williams. I just have great admiration of people who are able to conquer adversity and rise to the top.

Love this show! Some suggestions: The Villain (Kirk Douglas / Arnold Shwarznegger); Trilogy of Terror; The Toxic Avenger; Poseidon …

  15. Sandy K

I started listening to The Instance and now listen to almost everything. Love the podcast and can’t wait for the next show. I have some suggestions: BeastMaster, American Ninja, and Earth Girls Are Easy.

  16. Jason L

Love this show, just learned about it through the morning stream, now I’ve listened to everything from Waterworld up to Timecop. Two things
    1. On the Star Trek episode I agree that Tasha Yar was horrible and Jake Sisko was bad, but Alexander Roshinko(Worfs son) was just as bad as Tasha. I could go into how bad he is, but it would be a manafesto of rage and run-on sentences.

    2. You’ve got to sack a movie called “Chopping Mall”. Its a movie about these killer robots that someone decides would be good at mall security. A group of teenagers decide to have a party in the mall after hours and hilarity ensues.

  17. Jillian P

I LOVE FILM SACK!!! Best podcast ever! Can you please sack “The Princess Bride”!? Don’t get me wrong, this is one of my all time favorite movies. This movie came out when I was 4 years old and between the ages of 4 and 12 I probably watched it twice a weekend every weekend and then at least once a year since then (15+ years). I will, however, admit that it is probably a collection of the worst acting ever in the history of film. I mean really, how many time does that guy have to say, “my name is Inigo Montoya, you killed my father, prepare to die”?! WTF!? And how can you pass up a movie with Billy Crystal, Andre the Giant, Fred Savage, and Wallace Shawn!!! I think I would pee myself laughing if you sacked this movie and I know there are a million other cult followers of this movie that will enjoy it as well!

  18. Tired Canadian

The Film Sack rocks like AC/DC on cocaine and Red Bull !!!! Swear to God !! Would I lie to you???

Hey Frogpants community! I love all the shows, and I’m loving the “quintessential” ;) morning show podcast “The Morning Stream”. Anyway, I just wanted to make a suggestion for Film Sack! Just randomly caught Ernest Scared Stupid, which I haven’t seen since I was a kid! You’ve gotta sack it! Full of tropes, one-liners, poor effects, spilled milk, and questionable non-legal-guardian adult trashman and child relationships! I just want to know, why are the bullies in movies up until the 2000s always the fat kids? When did the roles switch?
Anyway, I digress. Thanks again, Scott, Randy, Brian, Brian and everybody else! Slurp my butt!

  21. Internet demands a Film Sack soundboard app. Mandatory clips (but by no means a comprehensive list):

“There is a hole in the roof!”
    “Ding-dong-diddly.”
    “Slurp my butt.”
“Maybe if we had some FOOD!”
    “AIIEEE!” “ARRGH!”

and the countless Fletcherisms (“Boobies!”, “Cheeseburger!” &al.). (I can’t even keep a straight face trying to list these.)

  22. Joe

SCOTT! – I actually cheered out loud about a month ago (already) when you implied an episode devoted to “Flash Gordon” coming up… so WHAT HAPPENED?

  23. Dave

Best film show podcast I’ve heard in a looong time. Very funny and engaging. Keep up the good work.

  24. SeahawkJim1969

I just found a Dolph Lundgren DIRECTED film called The Killing Machine. It is streaming at Netflix. I’m going to be watching it tomorrow night. I’ll give a brief synopsis, this weekend.

  25. Jay

Does this have a weekly release day? (normally)

  26. Kevrod

How about a review on Quadrophenia. And could you get Turpster to provide a translation of what Jimmy is saying when the mods are beating up his rocker friend?

  27. Chris Renaud

    For your consideration:

Caveman (1981) – starring Ringo Starr, Dennis Quaid, Shelley Long, Barbara Bach, John Matusak, Jack Gilford, and too many others to list.

Okay, Filmsack crew, have you heard about Tommy Wiseau’s “The Room”? There is filmsack gold in this movie. You would have to record the entire movie as a clip because the dialogue is that horrendously funny.
Here’s an excerpt for your consideration: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mQ4KzClb1C4
Thanks Scott, Randy, Brian and Bryan

  29. BT

Just listened to the “Freaked” episode, and I was excited to hear the chatter on “Quick Change”, truly one of Bill Murray’s lost gems. Scott – definitely worth a watch.

  30. Jamey

This is one of my favorite podcast, started with “The Instance” now i am loyal FrogPants follower.
    GREAT WORK TY :)

Please do Car Wash!! It will be the film sack ever. The old man running around the car wash, they think it’s a bomb, but it’s only a urine sample. richard pryor, bill duke, the hogan’s heroes brother, and other people I don’t remember.:) It’s a would be a good Film Sack episode.

  32. dub1n

You should do John Carpenter’s The Thing. That would make for a good talk in special effects and I would love to know what they think about the end. Are they safe? Does one of them contain The Thing?

  33. Jazuule

Ever thought about having Netflix as a sponsor? They could have a film sack section and possibly get you a bit more info on what would be streaming and how long it will be available. Just an idea I had.

Found a great site for Scott and the boys (and fans): http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/HomePage . It lists all kinds of tropes in movies that should help in identifying them in future episodes.

The run that steve hates is what is taught in bushido, especially if a sword is used, the knees can be as much as 45 degrees to the floor, the martial art is the beginning of this movie is Ai ki do. My Sensei had studied in the dojo of O Sensei and there is a shrine of the same in the opening sequence. We used a tape of that to criticize the stiffness of some of the moves. But yes at first you feel like a sheit hook doing it but it has a practical side, can be really fast and is intimidating coming right at you, After that first sequence, caint stand it.

  36. Exok

Please please please sack my favorite movie of all time, The Road Warrior!

  37. Flint

Some FYI about the LADYHAWKE soundtrack… The score was composed by Andrew Powell (the symphonic orchestrator for The Alan Parsons Project). Which explains the timeliness of choice for him as a composer and his fusion of orchestra and “ROCK”. I am curious if those on the show who hate the soundtrack also hate The Alan Parsons Project and if those who liked it also like APP.
FYI…if you are gonna watch HACKERS…get ready for some Angelina Jolie BOOBIES! Don’t know why it is PG-13. There is some Nippletacular goings on.
    Love the show. Stay AWESOME.

  38. kirlybalding

Great Podcast, can’t get enough. Please do “Highlander”!!!! It’s on streaming right now!

  39. Hey dude, was just searching through the internet looking for some information and stumble’d across your blog. I am very impressed by the information that you have on this site. It tells me how well you understand this subject. Bookmarked this site, will be back soon. You, my friend, ROCK!!!

  40. moviebuff

Trancers. Adventures of Jack Deth. Streaming. Do you need more? Then try Best of the Best. Oh, no! A choice!

  41. Just listened to Filmsack: Spaceballs!

+1 for your seasonal list :p – Die Hard for a Xmas episode. Want a reason to get it on :D

  42. atroskity

I love Film Sack and TMS, they are the only things that make my commute bearable. I know you’ve already done a Tim Burton movie, but I’m hoping you guys will give Edward Scissorhands the Film Sack treatment someday in the near future. You are awesome.

  43. of course like your web-site however you have to take a look at the spelling on several of your posts. Several of them are rife with spelling issues and I to find it very bothersome to tell the reality however I will certainly come again again.

  44. Jason

Hey guys, Just finished listening to the sack of Maverick, and wanted to add my favorite narrated film to the list. I addition to being the season for this film, A Christmas Story had an excellent narration by one the film’s writers, Jean Sheoherd, who also wrote the book the film was based off of. The movie just wouldn’t have been the same without the ‘Woncder Years” style of commentary. Surprisingly, this film isn’t on Netflix streaming. I think it would be an excellent film to sack in the future if it does end up on Netlfix at some point. Keep up the good works gents.

    Cheers

jst heard Film sack and had to tell you that my dad was the Director of Photography on the new york half Highlander

Hey Scott et al – if you ever want to do serious damage to the eyes of all of the people who dare to watch the Sacked films – might I suggest the first FS Double Feature of Uwe Boll’s Bloodrayne III : the 3rd Reich, followed by Blubberella (Uwe Boll’s shot for shot “comedy” remake of Bloodrayne III : the 3rd Reich …), featuring a fat actress in the role of Rayne. I’m telling you – you will not be disappointed in the suffering that you will inflict…

  47. jbtost

Oh – and “The Wraith” is now streaming
