Join Scott & Tom as they break down this week’s pilot: Mission Impossible!
Mission: Impossible is a U.S television series that was created and initially produced by Bruce Geller. It chronicles the missions of a team of secret government agents known as the Impossible Missions Force (IMF). In the first season, the team is led by Dan Briggs, played by Steven Hill; Jim Phelps, played by Peter Graves, takes charge for the remaining seasons. A hallmark of the series shows Briggs or Phelps receiving his instructions on a recording that then self-destructs, followed by the theme music composed by Lalo Schifrin.

Is it just me or dos the safcraker sound like the little guy in Captan America, Dr. Arnim Zola/Toby Jones?
Keep it up, I hope this one dosnt delete.
For all you Cinnamon Carter fans – Barbara Bain did a character crossover in Diagnosis: Murder. A rather improbable vehicle for a reprise of her character, but it was fun for us who remember her original portrayal:

I can’t believe you mentioned Wally Cox and didn’t mention is most famous role (at least to kids like me) Underdog!

*Still Listening to the Episode* On the Smoking and Drinking… Just recently been working my way through it and never realized how alcohol is just generally glossed over in modern TV. In the old episodes of Cheers they were giving orders and asking for actual name brand alcohol. Not just a scotch and soda or beer..
Congrats on the first pilot to be called ‘pilot’!
I wish the first episode of Quantum Leap was called pilot instead of Genesis because Sam’s very first leap is as an aircraft pilot. It would have made sense. The A-Team pilot isn’t called ‘pilot’ either. I love the A-Team, it’s still a fun show. I never really watch the pilot on re-runs, though. Can’t tell you much about it other than Face being a different dude.
I knew I liked Scott for a reason. Any fan of Wally Cox is a friend of mine.
Hi Guys, great show so far.
I remember reading something about Mission Impossible and Star Trek several years ago. It was a college course where the professor played Star Trek without the visuals for his students and he played Mission Impossible without sound. Essentially what he was saying was that Star Trek works as a radio play and Mission Impossible works as a silent movie.
I heard this and saw it immediately.
Keep up the good work.
